New Patient Experience

For a lot of patients with anxiety about going to the dentist, simply knowing what they can expect helps to relieve those fears. Sanchez Dental Associates is committed to making your dental experience as comfortable as possible, and that starts with giving you a clear picture of what you can expect as a new patient.

Every patient has a different smile, and a different ideal appearance. While some people are in need of relieving discomfort, others are in need of overcoming a lack of confidence in their smile. Some people dread going to the dentist while others actually like it! Our goal is to make sure you get what you want. That is why your first visit is just a conversation with Dr. Gary or Dr. Greg.

We need to know where you’ve been, where you are now, where you want to go, and when you want to get there. You need to know if we are the right place for you.  If everyone is happy (which is usually the case) – then we will move forward.

The goal of the New Patient Exam is to discover together the current state of your dental health. This is not about scolding or lecturing – it is about finding our starting point.
Your 90-minute new patient appointment will include a comprehensive exam to evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaw muscles, and joints. In addition, we will take X-rays, diagnostic photographs, and we may create diagnostic models. With current, accurate records, Dr. Gary or Dr. Greg can design a customized treatment plan for you based specifically on your goals and objectives.

One to two weeks later, you will return for a 30-minute, no-cost “review of findings” consultation with your dentist. Based upon your goals and level of dental fitness, the dentist will present to you YOUR Plan.

We provide a consultation that offers suggestions, solutions, and a written report of our examination and discussion. You will understand the options available to satisfy your goals. You will have a step-by-step solution to get you to your goals, and you will know the costs – all in advance.

We provide services to our patients on a fee-for-service basis, and payment is due at the time of service unless the patient has other means and a plan for payment has been made in advance.

Our office accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, as well as cash or checks. For those patients with dental insurance, you can expect your insurance company to reimburse you a portion of our fee. That amount is determined by your coverage as issued by your insurance company. We will file all claims for you, as well as any follow-ups or appeals as needed.

We are always available to help you make the best use of the benefits you have available. At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. Anything else would violate our commitment to you as our patient. Contact us today with any questions!
